Al is responsible for the operations, processes, and people across our various business lines. He is focused on identifying and implementing process improvements within the organization streamlining reporting, and creating efficiencies in our workflow.
Al has over 25 years of varied experience in the design, construction, and real estate industry. Before joining Synergy, he was a Senior Vice President with Skanska USA for 14 years where he served in a number of operational roles in several markets along the East Coast. At Skanska, Al managed dozens of simultaneously ongoing construction projects, ranging in size from tenant fit-outs to high-rise office and multi-family buildings. Before Skanska, Al was a Principal and the Director of Design for Pond and Company, a large, multi-disciplined design firm in Atlanta, GA.
He is a board member of innovative non-profit YouthBuild Boston, which offers a hands-on approach to training and workforce development for the youth of Boston, a member of the Board of Directors for A Better City, and the Downtown Boston Business Improvement District (BID).
Al Gogolin holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (where he also pitched on the baseball team) is a registered professional engineer, a licensed general contractor, and a LEED-accredited professional.
