Matthew Godoff

Executive Vice President, Head of Investments

As a member of the firm’s Executive Leadership Team, Matt is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities for the firm’s equity, debt, and advisory businesses. Matt is also responsible for capital formation including the cultivation and sourcing of new joint venture partnerships. In addition, he oversees the firm’s strategic equity and debt relationships.

Prior to joining Synergy, Matt worked at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, formally Grubb & Ellis Company, where he built a successful practice specializing in downtown Boston leasing, representing both landlords and tenants. He received both local and national recognition as one of the company’s top rising stars as well as one of the most respected commercial advisers within the Boston market.

Matt is very active within Boston’s commercial real estate and philanthropic communities. He is currently a member of the IOPC Black Product Council and member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Program Committee (Massachusetts Chapter) and also a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate’s Commercial Brokers Association (GBREB-CBA). Matt also currently is co-chair of the Facilities Committee at The Meadowbrook School of Weston and a member of the Executive Committee of the Brooks School Alumni Board. Matt is also a past president of The Business Associates Club and a former co-chair of NAIOP’s Developing Leaders Executive Committee.

Matt is a graduate of Rollins College & the Brooks School. At Rollins, Matt received a degree in Political Science and Business.
